Osmaston Housing
Derby City Council is supporting a wider programme of regeneration in Osmaston delivering significant new housing and commercial development.
By 2015, eighty new homes were created in the Elton Road Quadrant site following a regeneration scheme working with OSCAR - the Osmaston Community Association of Residents, Strata, Derby Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency. Forty of these were affordable housing.
The programme is now looking at more locations for housing. These are the former Rolls Royce sites at Russell Street and Nightingale Road, where former factories and work sites existed. These are now vacant sites.
In particular, the Main Works site behind the recently refurbished Marble Hall could offer more than 350 new homes. More information is detailed in the proposed housing plan for the Main Works site.
Derby City Council is working with its development partner Keepmoat and Rolls Royce to find a viable and sustainable scheme.
