Foster Care Fortnight
Foster Care Fortnight™ is The Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and shows how foster care transforms lives. Foster Care Fortnight is from 9 May until 22 May. The theme this year is ‘fostering communities’ and the campaign will be used to shine a light on the many ways people across the fostering community support each other.
Throughout these 2 weeks, Derby City Council is celebrating our Foster Carers and the amazing contribution they make to the Derby City Community by supporting children’s lives.
This is what fostering in the community means to our Derby City Council Foster Carers Ali and Andy Johnson said;
Fostering community matters to us because Derby City Council understands and supports us in our roles as foster carer’s, offering practical help and support whenever we need it. Fostering in the community also matters to us as a family because our children get to meet other children like them.
