Derby’s Morgan Brind wins Best Dame in national pantomime awards

Little Wolf Entertainment’s Morgan Brind has been crowned the winner of Best Dame award in this year’s UK Pantomime Association Awards. Morgan received the win for his part as Nurse Nancy Nightly in Sleeping Beauty at Derby Arena.

Morgan’s outstanding performances, combined with his wit and excellent comedy timing, have helped to make him a firm favourite with Derby pantomime audiences. Sleeping Beauty enjoyed success last Christmas, helping over 26,000 people enjoy returning to the theatre after the pandemic brought the production to a halt at Christmas 2020.

Morgan was nominated for the Best Dame award alongside other talented performers such as Andrew Pollard, John Elkington, May McFettridge and Quinn Patrick.

This year saw no shortage of recognition at The UK Pantomime Association Awards for Derby LIVE and Little Wolf Entertainment, who have been working in partnership since 2017. Morgan also received a nomination for Best Set Design for his impressive sets in Sleeping Beauty.
