DERBY CITY COUNCIL made these Experimental Orders on the 10th day of March 2022, which will become effective from the 21st day of March 2022 for a period of 18 months, under Sections 1, 2, 4, and Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police:
The purpose of the Experimental Orders is to bring into effect the following:
Prohibition of driving of motor vehicles (Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 9am and 3pm to 3.45pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)
- On Thornhill Road from its junction with Burton Road to its junction with Old Hall Road
- On Church Street from its junction with Shepherd Street to its junction with Old Hall Road
No Waiting At Any Time
On Old Hall Road along the eastern side of the carriageway opposite number 2 and 6.
No Waiting (Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm)
On Old Hall Road along the eastern side of the carriageway opposite number 8 and 12.
A copy of the Experimental Orders together with maps which show the definitive extents of the orders and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Experimental Orders, may be inspected on this page.
Derby City Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of these Experimental Orders should be continued in force indefinitely.
Anyone wishing to object to the Experimental Orders continuing in force indefinitely, should state their grounds of objection, sending it in writing to Derby City Council, Traffic and Transportation, Communities and Place, Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to be received no later than 20th September 2022.
