Derby City Council (Bramble Street Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.110) Order 2021

Derby City Council (Bramble Street) (Moving Vehicle) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.44) Order 2021

Derby City Council has made these Traffic Regulation Orders on 3rd February 2022, which come into effect on 7th February 2022 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III if schedule 9 to the 1984 Act.

The purpose of the orders will be to introduce:

Proposed Pay and Display (Max 2 hrs Mon to Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)

  • Becket Street – 15m outside Burdett House
  • Bramble Street – 33m outside 1a - 4 Bramble Street and 17m outside 5 – 8 Bramble Street on the south side

Proposed Disabled Badge Holders Only (At All Times)

  • Becket Street – 21m outside number 2 Becket Street
  • Macklin Street – 21m adjacent to 80 Macklin Street

Proposed No Waiting (At Any Time)

  • Becket Street – 10.5m outside Derwent House
  • Bramble Street – extend existing restrictions to the full extents of Bramble Street on the north side
  • Newland Street - extend the existing restriction by 12m from the junction with Becket Street on the south side

Proposed change of direction of One way for all motor vehicles, exemption 1

  • Bramble Street – traffic flow to travel from Becket Street to Curzon Street

Proposed prohibition of right hand turn for vehicles (subject to any specific label on the map), exemption 1

  • Bramble Street junction with Curzon Street

Revocation of Disabled Badge Holders Only (3 Hours No Return 1 Hour)

  • Becket Street - 15m outside Burdett House

Revocation of Pay and Display (Max 2 hrs Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)

  • Becket Street – 21m outside number 2 Becket Street and 10.5m outside Derwent House
  • Macklin Street – 13m opposite 67 and 69 Macklin Street
  • Newland Street - 12m from the junction with Becket Street on the south side
  • Bramble Street – 35m and 36m bays on the north side

Revocation of No Waiting (At Any Time)

  • Macklin Street – 8m adjacent to 80 Macklin Street
  • Bramble Street – 33m outside 1a - 4 Bramble Street and 17m outside 5 – 8 Bramble Street on the south side

Copies of the orders and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the orders, may be inspected on this page.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the orders on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the orders apply to the High Court for this purpose.
