Moorway Sports Village and Markeaton Park
Derby City Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Moorways Sports Village, Markeaton Park) (Principal) Order 2022
Derby City Council made this order on the 28th of April 2022 which comes into effect on the 1st of May 2022 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf:
Moorways Sports Village
The order formalises the newly constructed car park relating to Moorways Sports Village as being available for public use under a pay and display/virtual parking system of control at the following tariffs:
Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays 7am to 8pm
0 to 3 hours free, over 3 hours £3
Markeaton Park
The order also updates the current off-street parking places order for Markeaton Park to include the necessary articles to cover:
- Pay by Phone
- Virtual Electronic Parking Permits
- Electric Vehicle Charging Bays
By implementing the above articles, the following order has been revoked and will be replaced with this order.

The tariffs are as follows:
Monday to Sunday from 7am to 10pm
Up to 1 hour £1.60, 1 to 2 hours £2.60
3 to 4 hours £4, over 4 hours £5.20
Coaches
0 to 4 hours £5.50, over 4 hours £10.50

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six weeks of the date of the order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
