Connect Derby
Connect Derby, the city’s primary managed workspace provider, brings together Derby City Council's workspaces at Friar Gate Studios, Sadler Bridge Studios, Riverside Chambers, Shot Tower, Marble Hall, Kings Chambers and the iHub innovation centre on Infinity Park to support enterprise and create jobs.
Since it was launched, the multi-million pound scheme has championed entrepreneurship by providing micro businesses, entrepreneurs and SMEs with the flexible, high specification working environment, IT infrastructure and business support they need to grow.
Each building in the diverse Connect Derby portfolio has a unique offering for anyone considering self-employment or starting a new business or an existing business already operating inside or outside the city.
Accommodation at Connect Derby ranges from 80 sq. to 1,800 sq. ft. Workspaces range from conventional office space to areas with co-working and virtual tenancies, with hi-tech workshops also available at the iHub.
Tenants enjoy superfast broadband, meeting rooms equipped with AV equipment, and 24/7 access. Four of the managed workspaces have their own on-site cafés.
Offices are available on flexible lease terms, with scalability, allowing tenants to upsize or downsize their space according to their needs.
Connect Derby has played a key role in the regeneration of Derby city centre through the support of SMEs and has had a direct impact on the number of SMEs and start-ups in the city.
The Connect Derby workspaces have provided the infrastructure for the creation of new jobs and the support of local businesses and have boosted inward investment, attracting a whole host of regional, national, and international organisations to the city.
In 2021, Connect Derby maintained its ISO 9001 accreditation, reaffirming its commitment to putting its customers at the forefront of everything it does.
