Consultation process
How does the Council consult and involve residents in its work?
It’s important for us to consult local residents and businesses on a wide range of subjects and issues because it helps us make informed decisions about strategies, policies and services.
There are a variety of ways in which you can get involved in consultations.
Lets Talk Derby
View the latest consultations taking place in Derby and find out:
- how you can take part
- what has happened as a result of our consultations.
As part of our long-term plan for our website, we are looking at ways to improve the Lets Talk Derby service. At the moment you will not be able to register for e-mail alerts about consultation. Please contact the Policy, Research and Engagement Team if you have any questions about this.
Get involved in your neighbourhood
Every electoral ward in Derby has at least one Neighbourhood Forum and Neighbourhood Board that make decisions at a local level. By going to your Neighbourhood Forum meeting, you can:
- find out about, and have your say on, local issues, help decide on local priorities, and get involved in improving your neighbourhood
- talk to your ward councillors and members of your Neighbourhood Board.
