Roles in children’s residential care services
At Derby City Council, we support and ensure that the needs are met for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18 years across our city.
We operate five Children’s Residential Care Homes and can currently accommodate up to 24 children and young people, providing safe and welcoming place for them to live.
Our young people and children include those with emotional and behavioural difficulties, or who display challenging behaviours. One of our homes supports children and young people who have been diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum or learning disabilities.
Our focus is to meet their needs through a person-centred approach, working to promote positive attitudes based on self-respect, respect for others and equality of opportunity.
If you share our values and are committed to enhancing a child or young person’s life and future, we would love you to join our team and progress or further your career in this most worthwhile field which is both rewarding and fulfilling.
The team have a variety of roles available:
- residential childcare workers
- children’s home deputy managers
- children’s home managers.
