This Job Fair is a great way for the engineering and manufacturing industries to work together and promote careers within the sector. This sector is so important to Derby with its strong history of industry; we’re delighted to partner with Rolls-Royce for this event.
Iain Snape, Operations Manager for Redeployment at Rolls-Royce, said:
Rolls-Royce is committed at a very personal level to ensuring that all our employees living and working within the East Midlands region have the maximum opportunity to remain in employment. As well as our own Company internal support mechanisms to assist employees in considering skill set matches across our own internal opportunities, we are very grateful to have had tremendous local support from our local agency partners to enable us to organise this jobs fair to showcase some of the region’s external opportunities to our employees. These opportunities give further options to our workforce and therefore enable both continued employment for those impacted by our transformation programme and a strengthening of the regional employment situation.
The event was organised in partnership with Rolls-Royce to support its employees with partners from Derby City Council, South Derbyshire District Council, The Department of Work and Pensions, The University of Derby, East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, Talent Retention Solutions, The Futures Group and Midlands Aerospace Alliance.
