E4E was set up by Derby City Council to help link employers with schools and students, helping them to boost their employability and enterprise skills through real world development opportunities.
Councillor Evonne Williams, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:
It’s important that we’re still able to recognise the important work of initiatives like E4E and the dedication of schools and students, even though we can’t physically be together to celebrate. We already know that school-leavers are at a particular disadvantage as a result of the pandemic, but as a community and employers we should continue to offer support and advice to prepare young people as best we can for their future careers and education.
