A new one off Christmas Support Payment grant is now available to support pubs that receive less than 50% of its income from sales of food.
For the purposes of this grant scheme a pub is one that under normal circumstances is open to the general public, allows free entry other than when occasional entertainment is provided and allows drinking without requiring food to be consumed and permit drinks to be purchased at a bar.
These venues have been asked to make huge sacrifices over the festive season and will be eligible for a one-off £1000 to help make ends meet. The payment will be paid on top on the existing monthly LRSG grants which have also opened for businesses today. (link to other article)
