The beginning of the New Year is a traditional time for starting a new campaign to improve fitness. Derby Arena is getting in on the act and undergoing its own transformation by investing in new gym equipment and indoor group cycling bikes.
The new state-of-the-art gym equipment is being installed to provide the ultimate fitness experience for existing and new members. Provided by Pulse Fitness, a leading global provider of innovative fitness equipment, it includes premium strength equipment, stepmills, x-trainers, curved treadmills and an amazing bespoke functional training rig.
Using the latest technology, the cardio equipment comes with a touch screen, Wi-Fi, Netflix and social media access. It also includes PulseMove, which offers structured and guided personal workout programmes, as well as access to E-Scape virtual reality workouts. Members can run, jog or walk through a variety of exotic landscapes and locations to keep motivated while working out. PulseMove Professional software installed on the equipment allows members to use their favourite fitness apps.
Councillor Robin Wood, Derby City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Tourism, said:
Providing the best experience for the users of our gyms is paramount to helping them develop their fitness, so we welcome this refurbishment of the facilities at Derby Arena just before its fifth anniversary.
Further work will be completed on refreshing the dance studio and we will be introducing a new indoor group cycling studio with the aim to create an improved offer for anyone wishing to start their fitness journey.
