The Enterprise 4 Education (E4E) Derby City Raising Aspiration Awards arrive in December 2021 to celebrate the success and achievements of schools, employers and individuals in the local Derby area.
E4E is a Derby based partnership that links employers with students to present them with real world opportunities and valuable insight. E4E use their available resources to inform students of career opportunities as well as what they can do to improve existing skills or learn new ones. By engaging with employers, students can get a head start in what to expect from future careers, interviews and what skills may be looked for as they leave education.
The awards are open to Derby City students in school years 7 to 13. The event presents the opportunity to celebrate the determination and hard work that goes into the student’s individual achievements regardless of their background. With 9 award categories available, E4E are prepared to celebrate the many achievements of local students.
Evonne Williams, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services at Derby City Council said:
The past year has been a struggle for everyone. It has especially affected the lives of children and young people. The E4E Derby City Raising Aspiration Awards highlight and celebrate the pure passion, resilience and creativity that is present in these children despite the odds. Their hard work deserves to be rewarded and recognised.”
The award categories available are The Brilliance Award, E4E Volunteer of the Year, School Debating Competition, Young Achiever Award, Aiming High Award, Creativity Award, STEM Award, E4E School of the Year and the Resilience Award.
