Registered carers in Derby are being asked to share their thoughts about services in a national survey.
The Survey of Adult Carers in England has been developed to learn more about whether services received by carers are helping them in their caring role and their life outside of caring, and also about their perception of the services provided to the person they care for.
In Derby, the survey is being carried out by the independent research organisation, Public Perspectives, on behalf of Derby City Council and NHS Digital.
A survey has been sent out to a sample of carers in the city and the Council encouraging anyone who has received one to complete it, to ensure the results give a true picture of carers’ experiences. Surveys need to be returned by Thursday 30 November 2023.
Councillor Alison Martin, Derby City Council Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Care, said:
Carers do such an important job and we very much value their contribution to our communities. We want the services we provide to support them to do their great work.
We’re keen to learn more about their experiences – good or bad – in as much detail as possible. The more responses we get, the clearer picture we can build of how carers across the city actually feel. We can only achieve positive change if we have a true picture of how things are now so, if you have received the survey, I’d urge you to take part.
