Derby City Council is inviting residents to have their say on the future of their communities through community conversations on Let’s Talk Derby
Running until Tuesday 31 March, the surveys give people across the city the opportunity to share their views and experiences to help shape Neighbourhood Partnership Plans for the year ahead.
The consultation is being led by Derby City Council’s Neighbourhood Teams, who work alongside residents, community groups, councillors and local services to strengthen communities and improve quality of life.
The vision of the Neighbourhoods Service is:
Everyone in Derby should feel at home in their neighbourhood — connected to the people around them and supported by a community that cares.
By listening to what matters most to local people and supporting community-led ideas, the Council aims to ensure that every voice is heard and every neighbourhood has the chance to thrive.
Residents are being asked to share:
- What they enjoy about living in their area
- Any concerns they may have
- Where they go when they need support
- How the Council can make it easier for people to get involved
Feedback will help the Council to determine which projects and services to prioritise over the next year.
Councillor Sarah Chambers, Cabinet Member for Public Safety, Equalities and Communities said:
Our neighbourhoods are at the heart of Derby, and the people who live in them know better than anyone what works well and what could be improved.
This consultation gives residents a real opportunity to influence how we shape services and support in their area. I would strongly encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their views and help us build stronger, more connected communities across the city.
Residents should complete the online survey for the locality where they live:
- Locality One – Chaddesden East, North, West, Spondon and Oakwood
- Locality Two – Alvaston North and South, Sinfin and Osmaston, Chellaston and Shelton Lock
- Locality Three – Abbey, Arboretum, Normanton
- Locality Four – Blagreaves, Mickleover and Littleover
- Locality Five – Allestree, Darley, Mackworth and New Zealand
