Following the success of the new Farmers’ Markets, Derby Market Hall is launching an exciting variety of events and speciality markets in partnership with Derby Uncovered.

The upcoming programme will highlight local artisans, vintage memorabilia, and festivals celebrating craft beers, wines, and spirits, further cementing the Market Hall as a central hub for culture and community.

The calendar kicks off with Artisans Uncovered over the weekend of 7-8 March from 10am-4pm. Visitors can explore a lively space brimming with handcrafted goods and local flavours, offering a perfect chance to support small businesses and regional creatives. The event will return on 11-12 July and 10-11 October.

For history and nostalgia lovers, the Vintage and Memorabilia Fairs will take place on the weekends of 11-12 July and 10-11 October from 10am until 4pm. Collectors and independent traders will share timeless treasures and nostalgic keepsakes within the historic hall.

In the summer, the Derby History Festival, which takes place on the weekend of 22-23 August from 10am-5pm, will bring the city’s past to life through immersive exhibitions and expert storytelling.

Drink enthusiasts can enjoy the Craft Beers, Wines and Spirits Festivals on Friday 12 to Sunday 14 June and Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October (1pm–10pm). These festivals celebrate independent brewers and distillers, offering bold flavours and festival energy in one of Derby’s most iconic locations.

Finally, don’t miss the eerily enchanting Haunted Derby Festival on the weekend of 17-18 October, from 10am-5pm, featuring ghostly tales and interactive encounters for all ages.

Cllr Nadine Peatfield, Leader of Derby City Council and Cabinet Member for City Centre, Regeneration, Strategy and Policy, said:

The Farmers’ Markets have already been a huge success so I’m thrilled our continuing partnership with Derby Uncovered is bringing such an exciting mix of events to the Market Hall.

By celebrating our talented local traders and Derby’s unique history, we’re creating a space where the community can come together to experience the city’s creative spirit.

David Turner of Derby Uncovered added:

Following the successful launch of the Derby Farmers’ Market, we’re excited to continue working closely with Derby Market Hall and Derby City Council.

It’s been fantastic to see the public response so far, and we look forward to creating more experiences that celebrate our area’s creativity and heritage.

Alongside these events, the popular Farmers’ Markets will continue throughout the year. Visitors are also encouraged to explore the Market Hall’s permanent traders and vibrant street food dining area. Full details are available on the Derby Market Hall website.
