The Traffic and transportation service collects, uses, and protects personal data to execute its extensive statutory duties regarding the public highway, traffic management, civil enforcement, and transportation services. We gather data when you use our website, forms on portals like 'myAccount', or 'MiPermit' for cashless parking. We also collect written, electronic, phone, or face-to-face communications, alongside enforcement cameras, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), and staff Body-Worn Video (BWV).
How data is used
We collect names, addresses, financial transactions, and vehicle registration markers. We also process sensitive health data for accessibility schemes. This includes information from third parties like the DVLA, the Police, schools, the national Blue Badge Digital Service, and the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
Sharing of data
We may share your personal where necessary to:
- Administer Blue Badges, concessionary travel, and parking schemes.
- Manage Traffic Regulation Orders, parking permits, and network permitting.
- Issue parking penalties, manage moving traffic contraventions, and process warrants.

- Track vehicle metrics for air quality monitoring and journey statistics.
