Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme 2022
In June 2021, we confirmed our commitment to establish an Enhanced Partnership (EP). The Department for Transport (DfT) require EPs to be in place by April 2022. The Derby City Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), which was published at the end of October 2021, is the foundation of the EP agreement between the Council and bus operators.
Our EP arrangements will strengthen and enhance our current partnership, alongside the shared accountability for the BSIP delivery and performance against shared targets and actions. Our BSIP will be reviewed and refreshed annually, as required by the DfT. Progress against targets will be reviewed on a six-monthly basis.
All updates will be taken through the decision-making processes of the organisations within the partnership, as appropriate. The knowledge and intelligence gained will be reflected in our second BSIP which we will publish in October 2022, and in Variation Agreements to the EP Scheme, if required.
This EP Plan is for a period of five years. It will be reviewed annually by March, and any changes required need to follow formal variation procedures, which includes public consultation.
