The Spot Taxis

Derby City Council (The Spot Taxis) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.149) Order 2024

DERBY CITY COUNCIL made this Traffic Regulation Order on the 26th day of March 2026, which will become effective from the 30th day of March 2026 under Section 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.

The purpose of the order is to bring into effect the following:

No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Taxis) to replace existing No Waiting (At Any Time) (Except Taxis) *LGMPA

  • Osmaston Road – on the west side only in the existing taxi rank from no. 18 to The Salvation Army Citadel, approximately 40 metres long
  • London Road – on the east side only in the existing taxi rank outside of no.1, approximately 30 metres long
    Loading Only (At any Time) to replace existing No Waiting (At Any Time) (Except Taxis) *LGMPA
  • Osmaston Road – on the west side only in the existing taxi rank outside no. 40, approximately 12 metres long

A copy of the orders and a copy of the authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the orders:

  • Sealed Order - The Spot Taxis
  • Statement of Reasons - The Spot Taxis

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the orders on the grounds that they are outside the powers of the acts or because they do not comply with any requirement or regulations made under them, may, within six weeks of the date of the orders apply to the High Court for this purpose.
