Derby's Armed Forces Champion

The Armed Forces Champion is a serving city councillor who acts as a key link between Derby City Council and the Armed Forces community. The Armed Forces Champion for the 2025/26 municipal year is Councillor Alan Lindsey.

The Champion's role includes:

• supporting the delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant locally
• raising awareness of veterans’ issues across council services
• championing policies that benefit serving personnel, veterans, and their families.
