About us
The Light House is home to the Integrated Disabled Children’s Service (IDCS) in Derby.
The IDCS is a multi-disciplinary service aiming to meet some of the needs of disabled children and their families. The team works with children and their families in Derby and some children and families in the south of Derbyshire, aged 0-17 years.
We are committed to ensuring that children and young people and parent carers receive the best possible service within available resources.
The IDCS can provide information, advice, signposting to other services and a route to assessment and, if needed, services for disabled children and young people and their parent carers.
The Light House is located on St Mark’s Road in the Derwent area of Derby. Built for profoundly disabled children with complex needs, it is fully accessible and equipped for disabled children.
The Light House is jointly funded by Derby City Council and NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board.
