Arts development
Arts development aims to bring out the capabilities and possibilities of the arts in a range of contexts. These include health, communities, education and regeneration. We work with a range of partners to develop activities that will enhance the lives of residents and the experience of visitors.
We provide advice to artists, organisations and community groups. This can be about how to develop a project, reach an audience, get some funding, set up a group or meet the right people. We aim to encourage creativity and the opportunity for all Derby’s communities to participate.

Small Arts Grants
Small Arts Grants support creative projects that are of benefit to the residents of Derby. It is a rolling grants programme with no deadlines and is open to individuals and organisations.
The maximum award available is £3,000, although grants awarded would not normally exceed £1,000. It is unlikely we will fund 100% of a projects costs. We therefore expect applicants to also secure funding for their project from other sources. The total funding available is limited, so once the budget has been allocated for the year the grant programme is closed until the following April.
