Derby’s first whole-Council elections in more than 20 years are over. Following the elections, results from Friday’s count are:
- Conservatives - 15
- Labour Party - 23
- Liberal Democrats - 4
- Reform Derby - 6
- Independent – 3

Every seat on the council was up for election for the first time since 2002 and more than 58,000 citizens voted, a turnout of 32.4%.
The Derby City Council Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Wednesday 24 May, which will include the election of the Leader of the Council, the announcement of the Council Cabinet and appointments to the Council’s various boards and committees. It will also include the Mayor Making Ceremony.
