Zebra Scheme
The Department for Transport’s (DfT) ZEBRA initiative will provide up to £120 million to allows local transport authorities nationwide to make an expression of interest for funding to purchase zero emission buses, as well as the infrastructure needed to support them.
Derby, in partnership with Derbyshire County Council, has submitted an expression of interest (EOI) that would deliver a minimum of 30 hydrogen buses, split between double decker (mainly urban areas) and single decker (mainly for rural areas with a mixture of main roads and narrow lanes).
Our EOI is available to read online.
