How can we renew our marriage vows?

This is a personal ceremony to renew your marriage vows, available to couples who wish to celebrate their renewed commitment to each other.

These ceremonies are available to all couples at whatever stage in your marriage. You may wish to celebrate a special wedding anniversary or perhaps you married abroad and wish to renew your vows at home in front of friends and family.

Your ceremony

You may choose to have your ceremony in Derby at Derby Register Office or any of our licensed premises listed below.

A souvenir certificate is signed during the ceremony by the couple and two witnesses.

Fees charged currently range between £125 and £200 (including VAT). Fees and charges will vary according to geographic location, day of week, time of day and venue chosen.

The ceremony takes approximately 15 minutes but up to 30 minutes if more readings and options are chosen.

If you wish to have a religious ceremony you should contact your local church or religious community.

Important notice

These ceremonies have no legal effect and are not legally binding on those who participate.

Please note that your marriage certificate will need to be shown before a ceremony can be arranged.
