Bin collections

Residents who are due to have brown bins emptied on Friday 22 November should leave these out for collection as normal. If we are unable to empty your brown bin, we will attempt to return next week. For more information, visit our Missed bins page.

Two day adventure course

This two-day course is ideal for schools that struggle to resource and finance residential expeditions but still want to give pupils a valuable outdoors experience. It is suitable for pupils in Year 6 and upwards.

One day in the Peak District. Choose two activities from:

caving
climbing
rock scrambling
abseiling
stream exploring.

One day at Darley Barn Outdoor Centre in the grounds of Darley Park, including:

half a day canoeing or kayaking
half a day orienteering and team building.

Ratio: One instructor to eight pupils for these activities.

Price: £57.50 each young person (for four activities over the two days) This includes minibus transport from school and is based on groups of 16, accompanied by two school teaching staff. The minibus has 17 seats so one member of staff will need to follow the minibus by car to transport two young people.
