About us

The Light House is home to the Integrated Disabled Children’s Service (IDCS) in Derby.

The IDCS is a multi-disciplinary service aiming to meet some of the needs of children with disabilities and their families. The team works with children and their families in Derby and some children and families in the south of Derbyshire, aged 0 to 17 years.

We are committed to ensuring that children and their parents and carers receive the best possible service within available resources.

The IDCS can provide information, advice, signposting to other services and a route to assessment and, if needed, services for children with disabilities and their parents and carers. Our IDCS service guide gives more information about what we do and how we can help.

The Light House is located on St Mark’s Road in the Derwent area of Derby and is fully accessible and equipped for children with profound disabilities and complex needs.

The Light House is jointly funded by Derby City Council and NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board.
