Moving house and moving care
When you move home, you might go somewhere where another council is in charge. They will have different ways of managing your care. However, you should still have your needs met.
Our Guide to moving house and moving care suggest things that can help. Whether you or your relative is moving, you can do things to make moving easier. Our guide also tells you what any council should do to help support you when you move.
Some tips for moving include:
- plan and prepare for the move.
Make a plan with lots of detail, as far ahead as you can. Make sure you know where important things are or where they are going when you move:
- expect the unexpected.
Although planning can be very helpful, sometimes there are things that will not work out. Emergency arrangements and a Plan B are always good to have.
We hope our guide will help you move.
