Occupational therapist
Social care occupational therapists work with customers, from culturally diverse communities, to promote the use of self-help. Working with multi-agencies to ensure the right people with the right skills provide the right level of support at the right time.
As an occupational therapist, you will work with customers to support them to continue to live in their own homes, identifying strengths and difficulties they may face in everyday life. Using a person-centred and strength-based approach through assessment of needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Those solutions could include:
- advising on how to approach a task differently
- using equipment or assistive technology
- adapting the living or working environment
- finding strategies to meet your patient’s goals.
The team are looking for enthusiastic people with creative mindsets to join them to deliver a high standard occupational therapy service to meet the changing demands in health and social care.
